The Physio Control LIFEPAK CR2 Training Video is designed to help users understand how to use the LIFEPAK CR2 defibrillator correctly and safely. With this training video, users will be able to confidently operate the LIFEPAK CR2 defibrillator during an emergency.

Performing CPR

CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. CPR is a lifesaving technique that can be used in emergency situations. When someone’s heart stops beating or their breathing stops, CPR is administered. Both inexperienced and trained bystanders can carry out the procedure.

Julia from Response for Life demonstrates how to perform CPR in this simple training video.

How To Perform CPR

LIFEPAK CR2 Training Video: Using the Physio Control LIFEPAK CR2

An AED or automated external defibrillator (or “defib” for short), is a portable, electronic device that’s used in a medical emergency to revive someone from a sudden cardiac arrest.

The Physio Control LIFEPAK CR2 is a powerful and easy-to-use defibrillator. It features CPR Coaching, including feedback when no CPR is detected, rate and depth guidance, a metronome, and instructions on hand placement to help users remain focused during a sudden cardiac arrest emergency. It conducts continuous self-monitoring to ensure devices and responders are always prepared to deliver lifesaving treatment in the event of a cardiac arrest

Physio Control LIFEPAK CR2 Features

  • Continuous CPR improves blood circulation and increases the chances of survival. The LIFEPAK CR2 allows chest compressions during an electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm analysis, reducing pauses between CPR and defibrillation.
  • Simple graphics, audible instructions, and automated features help users remain focused during a sudden cardiac arrest emergency. Dual language capabilities and ClearVoice technology help users understand and hear voice prompts.
  • Featuring an IP55 rating against dust and water, the LIFEPAK CR2 works in challenging conditions.

LIFEPAK CR2 AED Semi-Automatic vs Fully-Automatic

LIFEPAK CR2 AED Semi-Automatic will ask the rescuer to press a button to deliver a shock to the victim, leaving it up to them to actually deliver the treatment. The defib will advise the rescuer(s) to stand clear from the patient, analyse the patient’s heart rhythm, and may instruct the rescuer to press a button to deliver the shock if needed. Defib voice prompts include “Everyone Clear”, “Press Flashing Button” and “Shock Delivered.”

LIFEPAK CR2 AED Fully-Automatic, on the other hand, automates this entire process and will deliver the shock automatically. The defib will advise the rescuer(s) to stand clear from the patient, analyse the patient’s heart rhythm, and automatically deliver a shock. Defib voice prompts include “Everyone Clear”, “Do not touch Patient”, “Delivering Shock” and “Shock Delivered.”

Anyone can use an AED and knowing how to use one could save a life. In this simple training video, Julia from Response for Life explains how to use the LIFEPAK CR2 defibrillator – Fully Automatic version. Medical training is not required to use an AED.
