This is the 'LIFEPAK CR2 Essential - Fully Automatic', the essential version of the 'Physio Control Lifepak CR2'.
The main differences we have identified between the two AED's is that this essential version does not have WIFI Embedded, cprINSIGHT or LIFELINKcentral Program Manager.
According to ANZCOR, the time to defibrillation is a key factor that influences survival. For every minute defibrillation is delayed, there is approximately 10% reduction in survival if the victim is in cardiac arrest due to Ventricular Fibrillation (VF).
The LIFEPAK CR2 Defibrillator has the fastest time to first shock - in response to this statistic. Designed with simplistic graphics and audible instructions to remove the guesswork with proven better results.

This is this fully automatic version, which means that the AED will deliver a shock to the victim without having to press a flashing shock button. This is favourable for workplaces that want to minimise the amount of human error or guesswork especially in times when an unskilled person is using the defibrillator. For example a fully automatic defibrillator may reduce extended delays due to hesitation to push the shock button during a rescue.
