Response For Life Australia was proud to partner with Austral Bowling Club to deliver two free Community Heart In Your Hands CPR & AED Skills Workshops on Wednesday, 10th June 2026 and Tuesday, 23rd June 2026.
The sessions brought together local residents who wanted to learn practical, life-saving skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. It was great to see such a strong turnout across both nights, and even better to see a number of people come back for a second session to refresh their skills and build even more confidence.

Learning Skills That Could Save a Life
A cardiac emergency can happen to anyone, at any time. Knowing how to recognise the signs, call Triple Zero (000), start CPR and use an AED can make a real difference while waiting for paramedics to arrive.
The workshops gave participants the chance to get hands-on with CPR and AEDs, ask questions, and practise in a supportive environment. Whether they were attending for work, sport, family or simply to be better prepared, everyone left with practical skills they can use if they're ever faced with an emergency.

A Great Community Effort
These workshops are all about making life-saving education accessible to everyone. The more people who know what to do in an emergency, the stronger and safer our communities become.

We're grateful to Austral Bowling Club for opening its doors and supporting this initiative. Community clubs play an important role in bringing people together, and we're proud to work alongside organisations that value the health and wellbeing of their members and the wider community.

"Great class and so easy to follow."

Hearing that participants walked away feeling more confident and prepared is exactly why we run these sessions.

Thank You
A big thank you to everyone who came along and took the time to learn these important skills. We hope you'll never need to use them, but if the day ever comes, you'll be better prepared to step in and help.
We'd also like to sincerely thank Austral Bowling Club for hosting the workshops and ClubGRANTS for generously sponsoring the Community Heart In Your Hands program. Their support helps us continue providing free CPR and AED education to local communities and gives more Australians the confidence to act when every second counts.
